Default Memorial Weekend BBQ

2nd annual bbq Tommy C and I did. Instead of a whole hog like last year, did 8 butts and 2 racks of spares for 70-80 people (wanted some extra for us and some friends). Everything cooked on our "cinder block pit".

The "Pit"

Enjoying the coffee and early Sunday morning

A peek to spritz after a few hours

165*-170* and foilin time.

Didnt get other pics cause I missed placed the camera (found it this morning). Was a beautiful day with great friends and bbq.

Great job and a very interesting looking cooking device. What are you burning? More pics of how that works would be neat. I'm guessing seperate fire area and some how brought over to the meat?

Charcoal both ends. Poured lit charcoal on top, added a chunk of apple and hickory on both piles.

Geoff,
great set up but those don't look like very good "napping" chairs.
