Well... said. But I don't give a hoot. So, I apologize for not voting. If I WAS to vote... I'd go "backyard" tho.

Ok,
Just wanted to thank everyone who participated in the poll and for the direction given.
Um, since it was a 9-9 tie and to keep members interested, It will be the recommendation of the events committee to the B.O.D. that we pursue both classes, a big name class hopefully in the fall and a backyard class put on by the association and utilizing member participation and skills to teach the class.
Please stay tuned.
Thanks
Scott

Makes perfect sense to me, maybe I can learn enough out of both to eventually get into the top echelon

That's no fun, then you don't get to snicker when you beat someone really good. I don't get to snicker alot but it just sounds like a good idea.

I figure at this point that I only have so many more times of turning in "Not Winning" boxes before I really screw up and do something the judges will actually like. Of course i am hoping that spending a whole bunch of money on these classes I can short circuit that learning curve. It would be nice to think that if I actually ponyed up for Waygu that I would think I might know enough not to ruin it!

We tried that. The Sam's Club brisket was better.
