Default BOD Meeting Minutes

When a BoD member posts a new thread in the "BOD Meeting Minutes" forum, can they post something in the main area that a new thread has been created or new information has been added to that forum? Unless you have entered that forum recently the only way to know if anything has been added is by entering the password to check it out. I think this would also help for the new members to understand that the information is there for them to read.

Thanks!

Does it work if you just click on "new posts"?

You have to enter the password to see in there even for the new posts.

Well I don't know what the "main area" is, but here goes,

Hey everybody I posted new stuff in the BOD Meeting Minutes section of the forum.

Can't you look at that section and see that for example, Bubba posted a new message "Today at 4:11pm"

Another thing, I have entered my password one time, and have never had to enter it again, do you have to enter it each time you check that section?

You could actually post in this forum and it would work just fine.

It all depends on how your browser is setup. Your browsers cache will hold on to the password as long as it is present if that is how it is setup.

Thanks Bruce for posting that info.

Posting a message informing members of new information would also eliminate the need for Mike to create a thread about the info posted in there.

Yes, the way my browser is setup I would have to enter the password each time I come to the forum.

So it looks like this issue is mostly contained to you Rich... I am probably the most secure guy on the planet and I dont have to enter my password. All I do is click New Posts and I see every new post... Maybe you should upgrade your browser to something in the 21st century like Firefox...

You know, I'm all for helping people out who have a genuine problem, however, I don't see how having to type your password in when you visit a forum or section on that forum is that big a deal, what's it take 5 seconds. Sorry, just my opinion, but I'll do as directed by the Webmaster.

I don't think you guys are understanding. This isn't about me or anyone having to enter a password it is about getting people information that they don't know exist.

Unless your browser is caching the password the posts will not show up. And I highly doubt this is just me, I just happen to be the one voicing it.

BTW - Firefox is junk.

Firefox is superior to every other browser and is acknowledged as such by Leading IT reviewers...

I can post an announcement on the Forum that everyone will see. I think it is Counter Productive to make 2 posts about one topic...
