I just caught the end of a piece on the news about tornado damage NW of Detroit.

Just got a text from my SIL who is a MSP Trooper. The town of Dexter is pretty devestated, many subdivisions are leveled.

Prayers sent.

Touchdowns in dexter and Pinckney, about 20 minutes from my home. A great deal of rain and hail throughout Washtenaw county.

Please post any news you have of injuries/deaths and power outages. Been in contact w/operation bbq.
My Son in law is way to busy to tell me anything else from down in Dexter.

Wxyz.com is channel seven out of Detroit. Have all the storm coverage. Been watching all night. No deaths reported but lots of places leveled.

Extremely nasty looking weather to the southwest, looking from my back deck. Lots of thunder and just some gentle rain. No wind, etc. Guess we got lucky in Brighton.

Channel 2 in Detroit reporting no fatalities . Dexter hit the worst.
Looks like a subdivision hit the worst. Hands of light in action are responding.

Also, they have shelters setup at Dexter High and Mill Creek Middle School.

A relief organization that went to katrina nd other disasters. Just on channel 2 news.
Red cross is on location now.
