Confirming this. Bubba and I have been tag teaming this (I had a series of meetings to attend this morning). Will from OBR has green lighted OBR-Michigan to start collecting donations and get down in the faces (and I mean this in a nice way) of the RC. According to Will, the RC is very last minute with anything they do operationally. It's better for us to be onsite and helping vs waiting around and scrambling at the last minute. I'm leaving work here in just a few minutes to head to RD. IF anyone needs to reach me call me at 248-705-7408. Please no drunk dialing. :lol:

First off thanks for taking the lead on this Tom and Steve.

A few questions - What if you get there and the RC says we are not needed ?? It is entirely possible. This is not the magnitude of devastation that say Joplin or even the town in Illinois recently. The RC and Salvation Army may have this under control.

Will someone be providing a list of items needed ? Then we can coordinate who is going to get what and who we need to approach for help.

Is someone (Tom possibly) going to provide us with more guidance once you are on the ground ? As much information as possible is good so we can inform the members and volunteers. This has the potential to be a very big undertaking...

This is just the Project Manager coming out in me I am sorry for all of the questions...

I have spoke with the national coordinator from the Salvation Army. He is looking forward to our help.
We are setting up base at LaFontaine Chevrolet on Dexter rd.
We are in need of generators, EZ ups, tables and obviously manpower. Dont have a total of mouths needing food but it will rise as more responders show up.

Tom said he is on his way there and when on site will relay some numbers back in regards to mouths to feed and length of stay they may be looking for. If you would, please post a schedule of how many people you have for which days, no sense in several people showing up on one day and having to leave and then having no one there the next.
I would strongly suggest checking in with the Washtenaw CO. Sheriff's Dept also, they can give you a number of first responders and their schedules so you can plan the meals accordingly.
