Currently in Florida enjoying the sunshine and a Weber grill. Happened across a 250 tank which I have been looking for and not been able to locate in Michigan. It now sits on my trailer waiting to go home with me in the spring.
Here is my question. Have looked at several designs and one that caught my eye for its simplicity has fire boxes built inside both ends of the tank. One company that makes something like this is called "Real Grill" out of Florida. Now my first concern is hot spots at both ends of the grill as that is were the fire is. The next would be how good of a job it does generally speaking. Went to the Lakeland FL. Pig Fest Jan. 28 and was overwhelmed by the different styles of smokers. Did however see several designed like the one I'm asking about. Talked to a couple of people using them and one said getting temp up sometimes takes awhile. If anyone has any knowledge of this style smoker, good or bad please reply. Thanks Jim |

I'm biased but our "s" flow works extremely well.....think of it as a double reverse flow.....very consistent all across the cooking chamber

Have not considered a S flow. Have always been concerned with the space needed to put double baffles below the cooking grate. How much room did that take?

Looking for opinions from people with smokers from propane tanks. Their design strong points and weak points. What you would like different or definitely not leave out. Thanks Jim
