Default Super Bowl / BBQ Competition

I thought it would be fun to have a competition that involved BBQ and football.

Rules:
  1. You must pick the winner of the Super Bowl with a post to this thread that includes the team name and total score before kickoff 2/5/12 at 6:29 EST. e.g. Giants 24 - 10
  2. You must cook some BBQ between 2/4/12 - 2/12/12, and post a photo of it cooking and plated in this thread by 2/12/12. That's right two photos example below!
  3. The top BBQ photos of the winner of the Super Bowl portion will be judged either in a poll (I haven't created one here so not sure how it will work) or by a couple of selected members.
  4. After all of the entries are in or by 2/13/12, I will start a new thread of the items that will be judged.
  5. If someone is trying to circumvent the fun nature of the event by trying to pull any crap, I have the right to update these rules to stop it and or DQ said individual.
  6. Winner will be announced by the latest 2/19/12.
  7. You must have fun!
NOTE - I said BBQ not chili, coleslaw, potato salad, or you get the picture. For this contest the definition of BBQ is a meat cooked outdoors regardless of the fuel type.

PRIZE - $25 Gift Card to Lockhart's BBQ!!! & Bubba will sweeten the pot with a bag of his Bubba's Best Brisket rub!

Nope, as long as you are the one cooking it, I think you are good.

Excellent idea. I am gonna use the tail gate on my pickup truck for a plate so I will be able to do a full comp cook plus moinks, abt's, candied bacon, a couple fatties, a stuffed loin, suckling pig,and scotch eggs, That gift certificate will be mine, and since it was for " best ribs" I will wield its mighty power.

Again great idea Rich, thanks

You don't have to cook BBQ or post its pic until 2/12/12 next Sunday. So you could just pick the Super Bowl winner and only cook if your team wins. Only the winners of the Super Bowl portion will have their BBQ judged next week.

That sounds like a great plate to me!

Brandy needs to take better notes when she sees you, because she did not tell me about all of them goodies. BTW - Those ribs looked really good!
