You would have a packed house if you had a raffle like this.

Quote:
(Shameless plug)
The Mid Atlantic BBQ Association annual meeting is this weekend - Saturday March 3rd in Bel Air Maryland.

Link to meeting info here

We hold a $1 raffle at the meeting similar to the KCBS one and this year we're giving away 9 full contest entries plus a lot of other goodies, so if you aren't a member and are on the fence about it, now would be a good time:razz::

Contest prize list
Grillin & Chillin
Pork In The Park
Que & Cruz
Recovery Fest
Keystone Classic Barbeque
BBQ Band and Brews
The BBQ Skirmish
Smokin on the Bay
4th Annual Southern York County BBQ Cookoff

Oh yeah, we're raffling off a Jack's Old South 36" cooker too!

It shouldn't be about the prizes, we had a door prize for everyone last year.
Who wants to volunteer to be the door prize getter?

i dont know what a fetter is but i would assume somebody on the BOD would have time to make a few phone calls. With what were sitting on in the bank, not sure why we cant pony up for a nice smoker?

I agree its not about the prizes but when you choose an obscure place to have a meeting that none of our new members can take the time to go to, prizes are all you got to hopefully attract?

Remember, Brighton is the center of the state.

I'll be there, not sure if im stayin or not, depends on Mike and Tracy if Cindy may come.

Will all the BOD members be there?

Im sure Great Lakes BBQ Supply will donate a few things as always.

I know it shouldn't be but it is a great marketing tool for increasing participation. KCBS raffles off several comp entries and people talk about it all year.
