All I know is that I asked a simple question about what type of surface we would be cooking on ... two days ago ... and I haven't heard anything back yet.

Something about all this strikes me as "odd"; perhaps it is just me. I just know that if I was promoting a contest like this, I would be doing a lot more communicating with those that have shown an interest in participating.

They reply to my messages promptly. Did you send them an email?

But I am giving an uneducated response. My guess is it will be on grass.

They have been communicating very well with me w/ e-mails. I'll forward your request in regards to the cooking surface shortly.

Scott:

I never heard anything back from them on the cooking surface. Did you hear anything? Thanks.

Ive been out there a few times to see the various races. From what I remember, all the sponsors and "things to do and see" were on the pavement. I would guess the cooking will be somewhere on the grass close by.

No, not with all the wind and rain, it will stay cool.
Besides that, I'm used to being hot.
