Yes, I tried mine on a couple of 1" pork chops. Great taste and great moisture retention.. I would try it again, except on a thinner chop. By the time you get the center of a 1" chop cooked, the outer area was starting to dry out. Not Mad Hunky's fault, but mine all mine.
Rich, you have a winner on your hands.

I finally had a chance to try my sample of Mad Hunky Pork Brine last night.
I took two 1 1/4" thick loin chops and brined them for an hour before grilling. The sample bag said "one pint" on the outside so I mixed it with 8 oz of hot water. It dissolved into the water easily and smelled very good. Then i added 6 oz of cold water and the equivalent of another 2oz of ice cubes to cool it off. I put it all into a gallon zip bag with the chops and back into the fridge. After the hour I rinses and dried the chops and gave them a light coat of olive oil, salt and pepper. I seared them over direct heat for a couple of minutes per side and then finished them indirect until they hot 140 internal. The chops were tender and mist and had a nice flavor throughout. I kept the seasoning simple so I could taste the brine and we didn't need anything more. The salt and pepper and the flavor from the brine was great! Thanks, Rich!

thank you for the test Ron! You could have left them in the brine a bit longer and gotten more of the moistness and flavor, but it the hour worked (The phoaphate IS faster than a saline only) then great!
I really appreciate the time and effort, sir!
