Seen it. Sensationalisim. It has it's HONEST uses. Sure, don't breathe it, any more than you'd breath ground habenaros. Or snort a line... Might end up with "Superbuggers".
Gloves? Don't YOU wear them handling meat? It's not gonna soak thru yer skin. It's typical "scare journalisim" undoubtedly financed by a competing interest. I plan on using it to bind deboned shoulders for neat boneless hams and coppas and the ocassional filet steaks, cooked medium, thank you, avoiding the surface bacteria concern. It's a tool, and when properly and honestly used, I see no issues. BTW... it's in alot of imported pressed hams and lunchmeats. Has been for years. |

Well I am not sure that a flyer from either a manufacturer or distributor of the product is "science" or not. Consider the source.
I am ambivalent to the entire issue, I was just posting another side of the story...

It's a food buyer's service publishing the info... I dunno. But the Gov't approvals are there. And it's not some schlock reporter who don't know a steak from a ham hock interviewing a guy who obviously has an issue...and a valid one..with it being used "dishonestly"

Yeah, when I got home after Eagle, I looked into it too. Personally, I think alot of the bad "press" is just that... bad press from one side . Industries that dont like the stuff will print anything using scare tactics. Shoot, scare tactics are used here too for certain products. If the food industry allows it, you can use it. Just do your homework first. If you dont want to use it, dont. If you do, use it. Just like watching pron. If ya want to, watch. If you dont, watch The Disney Channel.
