i ate next to a..... vegan

so, i went to a dinner gathering on sat night (14th) and i sat beside a girl vegan. entire meal was vegan for the most part because of 2 of the 8 guests, but they did grill some shrimp for us meat eaters.

i did get to hear about the "raping" of milk cows and how we shouldnt eat animals, veal, eggs, chickens and anything that is good. but the funny one was when she said she couldnt eat honey..... honey i said, that is just bee left overs, and she said that bee keepers use smoke to kill the bees to steal the honey, i had to stop the nonsense there and explain that the smoke only confuses them for a time so you can get the honey and does not kill them. man,,,, the miss information. anyway, she was very nice and i didnt want to cause a scene at some one elses house... the hosts were a bit scared i was going to get into all the gory details of farm life just for fun, but i just sat there and smiled..... drank my beer... and dreamed of the next pig roast.

Haha....I actually have quite a few friends that are vegetarians and none of them ever try to convert me, and I never to try to convert them.

The one I like was when a college girl wrote to a local paper stating that we didn't need farmers cause you can buy meat at your local grocery store. lol

We had a 80th B-Day party for my mother in law last Sat. I have a niece which is vegan. I did 4 racks of Ribs, Pulled Pork, Sliced Brisket and Burnt Ends. I offered to make a Vegan Cole Slaw just for her, But Nooooooooooooo, she didn't like cabbage..............So she was on her own, I didn't pay much attention to what she did eat and really didn't care... I guess I did have 20 pounds of bird seed in the basement freezer.

the hosts of this party did do all vegan (but the shripms, they were a side you could toss on your wheat pasta)..... had to be pasta not made with egg... actually the steamed soy bean pods were kind of good. for the pasta, it was roasted vegies tossed with e.v.o.o. fresh green onions and cherry toms. i liked it, but i will try most foods at least once, u never know what you may end up liking.

..... i would have left the party.....Same here, One of my most dis liked relatives told me "Burn't food was un safe to eat, and the idiot included "charred" effect foods such as pork butts and so on.

Anyway's I told her, I eat want I want to eat, don't preach me to me what I can't eat. And she stormed off.

The rest of the day she acted all snotty, and Argent. But it's like Don't tell me what I can eat and not eat.

I know what I can or can't eat!
