Up for sale is a very nice, hard to find in the Midwest, Diamond Plate Pits Fat 50 (Pit Builder in TX). This is a great volume cooker for the price!! Can handle competitions and catering!! You might have seen it at the Auburn Hills or Mt, Morris comps over the last year...I bought this pit in Louisville, KY and hauled it to Michigan-so you don't have to worry about spending hundreds (or even a couple grand) on shipping. The pit is 3-4 years old. Would love to see this pit go to a GLBBQA member, but it is posted on some other sites also. It is available immediately, so if I sell before Mt. Morris, I will cook on a couple WSMs.

$2,800/OBO (Cash only)

Here is the company web link to the FAT 50 (over $4,300 new w/ options):

2- 3 ½” black smoke stacks
Double door on smoke box
Slide-out Grill
10” serving shelf on Cooking Chamber
Standard gloss black smoke stack
13” White Mod wheels with radial tires.
3500# Spring Ride Axle

Deluxe Chrome Upgrade (Wheels and Stacks)
$ 214

Wood Box under Cooking Chamber
$ 234.52

Wood Box in front of Fire Box
$ 212.50

Propane Starter System
$ 226.66

Steamer System
$ 241.67

High Pressure Dual Stove Burner
$ 173.03

Upper slide out Grill Shelves
$ 174.46

Everything works as designed. Very nice condition. Tows great!! Cooks great in the warm or cold! This cooker features ~4,500 sq. inches of cooking space. I cooked this summer for 140 people for a company picnic and there was still room for more food!! Found out I will be relocating next year and will not have time to dedicate to cater/compete with the move. Will include some hardwood and propane tanks ($100 value!!)

Trying to refer everyone that responded to my pit to the Gator and Lang that you guys and Mike are trying to sell!! I sent emails to a few restaurants and catering businesses on my Fat 50...Seemed to generate a little interest...

Thanks Jason! All 3 are great cookers and deals - especially for this area!

Good luck on your move and we'll miss seeing you.

Thanks Jason - maiden voyage was yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the fat 50! First I've played with a moisturizing system - kinda like it. Now I have to decide what to do with my old rig - maybe convert it to a rotiisserie for whole hog.

Ray,
Glad you like it so far!! The guy in Lansing was really bummed he couldn't pick it up Saturday...The guy's name on these forums that also has a Diamond Plate Pit is Firecracker Jack if you want to look him up.

Thanks Jason - I'll still need a few trials to get a handle on keeping it optimized during cooking but made the the most tender, moist ribs and butts of any of my previous 5 smokers! I've never been a believer in the moisture debate but am coming around now.
By the way - can you forward me the email from DPP?
