My wife was in K'Zoo for a workshop, and she stayed at the Radison downtown. She brought home a flyer for a cooking class they are doing.

It's their version of the BBQ University. And they plan to cover all the basic meats, plus veggies and some other stuff. From what I can tell, they are talking real bbq, not just grillin'.

It starts on Friday, July 17th with a reception, and ends on Sunday, July 19th with a bbq Iron Chef. It's $129 per person, and that includes a couple meals, the classes, a beer/wine tasting, and some other stuff. What it doesn't include is a hotel room.

They are offering room packages, and a spa package for that someone special in your life that loves to eat what you cook, but doesn't like to help cook.

Check it out.

Sounds really interesting, too bad we didn't hear about it sooner,
maybe our assn could have gotten involved somehow.
Jim is there a link to it, would be nice to at least contact the people and letting them know about us.

Thanks

It is being run by their chefs, Wayne Wells and Max Winkle. The phone number for the class is 269-599-8627 (radisson catering).

They do not appear to have anything on their website.

So then it really had nothing to do with "bbq" but an overpriced how to grill clinic. :(
