Got a email from Smoke on the Water Productions that registration is really slow for this one.
Who is already in and who is planning on it?
Thanks
Scott

Unfortunately we're going to miss it. I found out last week that I have to be in California that week and won't be home until Saturday. We hadn't sent in our money yet, so no loss there, but we were looking forward to it. :(

Pasting all those pictures together can be time consuming.

Derek,
Bruce is just kidding, picking on your spelling again, you spelled College, Collage, a Collage is a bunch of pictures pasted on a board.
All in fun my friend!

Spruce Ridge Smokers is tentatively planning on it, although it worries me that when I asked how many teams they already had, I didn't get an answer.
Which makes me wonder where we would all stand if they don't get enough teams and decide to cancel it (after we have already sent in our money).
Anyone got an opinion about that?

Tommy from Smoke on the Water Productions has been very easy to communicate with. He responded to me within 10 minutes today after I had some questions.
Specifically, Electricity WILL NOT be available, generators will be allowed. Water will be available on site, he suggests bringing the first days supply of ice, another company supplied it free of charge at their last contest and they will be at this one but he is not sure if it will be free or not.
As of this minute, 18 teams are paid.
These people have quite a reputation to keep up and want to keep putting on quality events. Hopefully we will get more teams to support it.

According to the website, electricity, water and ice WILL be available.
If theres teams on the fence about this because of the cost, join up with another team and split the costs! The more GLBBQA teams signed up the bigger the bonus! ;)

OK, Check this out:
Scott,
I have a correction about the electricity. There is electricity at Michigan
and included in the registration. I am about to change our web site. Your
question and my answer was read by Ronnie Cates and he told me I was wrong
then we looked at our web site and it is wrong. Hopefully this will help
when recruiting cook teams. Sorry about the misinformation.

Ronnie Cates puts on one of the most well run, organized contests that you will find out there. From his 200+ team contests to his 30 team contests.

Yep Scottie,
I just hope we can get enough teams for them to make it worthwhile for them to return next year.

Thanks for the help, unfortunately I can't make it over there this weekend. Heading north to run a pit at Camp Grayling and cook for a bunch of military personnel.
