Where are you located?
How long has this wood seasoned?
Do you have green Hickory?
What do you consider a face cord? (size)

Thank you.

I did read somewhere that you want to use the smoking wood a few months after cutting. Maybe you lose something if it is fully "seasoned" or dryed out

I saw on t.v. one guy only uses green wood to smoke at his restaurant, don't really know why but oh well.

The wood has been seasoning about 1 year so it is pretty dry. If you are looking for green wood this isn't green. I do not have any green hickory at the moment but will post when I do. I consider a face cord 8ft long by 4ft high. I am located in Oxford Michigan.

You are correct Scott!
Most commercial units require green(er) wood because overly seasoned wood will quickly combust and burn up to fast.
The Oyler pit i will be cooking on requires green wood for that same reason.
