I was curious to what everyone does, when they're not in a comp?

For me I'm a college student and a forum mite.

Myself I am 100% disabled so I am officially retired going on 5 years now. My last job was a plastic handler and I have some torch brazing back ground with stainless steel and brass being my favorite. So now I tend to my wifes very needs. I fish occasionally and when fall comes I am on the woods from 1 Oct to 1 Jan.

Bubba - is that cutting grass, or is there another use for grass?

I'm a music teacher, Derek.

I retired as Chief of Police in Utica in 2003, since then I've been playing golf, cutting my grass (until this year, that chit gets old quick), swimming in my pool, doing bbq comps, getting reacquainted with my friends Mr. Jack and and Mr. Jim, trying to stay out of the wife's way, and basically just joking with Scott about his chicken cooking.

I'm a fluffer for porn movies. And I'm Rich's stand-in when he's dancing.

Ok. I'll be serious. I work for a major manufacturer of networking and communications manager as a Global Solution Manager.

I moved here last October and have only been a member for a short while so I am jumping in to this thread for the first time. I own and operate an awards and engraving company in Highland, been doing that for 39 years now since I was a senior in college. I am taking the judging class this week and hope to begin the process of putting a team together in the next year after judging for a while to see what wins up here. Originally from Georgia and low and slow is a way of life down there as well as the only way to cook!

For the last 33yrs I've worked at the Holly Police Dept, currently a Det/Lt and have worked as a detective for the past 28 years.
This thursday will be my last day.
Friday, I become officially retired and heading to Auburn Hills to set up for the contest. Then I will become a bigger pest to Mike, Bruce and Bubba.

Congrats Sfisch, and BruceB also. I retired as a Sgt. from a major metro PD in 2001 and went on to do some private and consulting work. 3+ years ago I went back to the PD as a civilian investigator to do background investigations on considered employees. It's nice to keep drawing the pension, be earning another as a civilian plus the hourly pay, and still be a few years shy of 60! If it ever comes up that someone wants to make a LEO cook team for an event count me in, it could be fun.

As an aside I recently saw Gov Arnold Schwartzenegger on, I think it was, the tonight show. Jay Leno askd him about his career and then asked him what would be the worst job he could have that he would never do and he said, "Be a Fluffer!' It came out like "Fluver" but eveyone knew what he meant. Jay quickly changed the topic of conversation!
