i will be there, 1st professional comp for me. should be a fun learing curve! probably go there on my lunch hour one day soon and look over the grounds. its only abut 2-3 miles from where i work. (and only 12 miles from home).

Pappy Medley's BBQ Team will be there...Did our first comp at Mt. Morris last year...Probably only doing this one this year unless we win some prize money-then maybe Mt. Morris or Novi...Sounds like Auburn Hills will be a smaller comp-unless there are a lot of teams outside of the GLBBQA that show up...

The guys in my team bailed on me for this event (supposed to be our first ever), so I am not entering. If anyone wouldn't mind a helper/observer, let me know. I would love to come out on Friday night and stay through the end of the event.

just drove over to it during lunch hour, parking lot. no place to anchor tent to the ground so cement buckets will be the way to go i guess.

Parking Lot only, eh?? I talked to Shawn through email last week...He said 11 teams had signed up...He said 3 more said they were going to submit last week (I think their deadline was Friday before the entry went up)...And he said that he had given out a lot more applications-so we'll see how many teams show up...My guess is somwhere around 15 teams...
