I know we are a long way off for Senior Q which is in October, but we are looking for someone on the westside of the state to take ownership of this project and run with it.

We would like to have at least 2 events for this year. I think we have one for the East Side already in the works.

I just wanted to throw this out and see if anyone is game for running with it.

Let us know.

What is involved other than finding volunteers, finding a nursing home / assisted living center, cooking, and serving?

Brandy is going to be suuuupppppeeeerrrrr pregnant in Oct so I will probably have to get permission

About how many people are we looking to feed? Some nursing homes are quite large and I don't want to go above our resources.

Anybody want to volunteer with me? I really need a trailer cooker so we don't have to heat this food up in my drums.

Yea, Rich. I would be glad to support you! It is a good cause for certain. Maybe we can consider the VA Home in GR? I am confident that we will be able find some trailer cookers for this project.

If you could find a home with about 30-50 that would be a good event.

And what is the menu we can tell the home we will provide?

Also I talked with Jeff Clark and he mentioned doing a senior que in his area. Maybe the event committee should give him a buzz.

We did pulled pork, chicken, baked beans cole slaw and dessert. All very easy to do with the help of Sam's club...

Are you good for this side of the state? My grandmother went into a home this spring in bad axe and I would love the help to do something? Just throwing it out there....no biggie

Hey Shane, how was the race ? If I knew Kevin Harvick was going to win I would have kept the tickets!!

We may have an opening, I was just informed that our location last year is have a bit of a turnover problem...

Depending on the date that you all come up with Walt and I would be honored to help out.

I would still be in as well. I don't think we could do it at my grandmothers place. I don't believe they allow others to cook for the home, maybe insurance reasons.

Just so you know, Jeff Clark has approached us about a Senior Q in his area, that would cover the westside. I am not against doing more than 2, but we will have to see how the funds work out.

I think we also need one for the east side now as well...

I will wait to hear from you on the funds before going forward.

I have a rig we can use. I am cooking for 200 this weekend and would be willing to help with a cookout if available. Please let me know how I can assist.
