View Full Version : Any Detroit Area Team Plan to be at UP Hog Wild?

I was wondering if there is any team from the Detroit area that is going to be cooking at UP Hog Wild in Kingsford on July 16th and 17th. We have been contacted by a TV production group that wants to do a short segment on BBQ and UP Hog Wild for one of the Detroit area stations. Looking for a team interested in getting some TV face time.... Let me know as soon as possible. It is for "BBQ Star Search" on Fox 2 in Southfield. Thanks :eek:

What is this "BBQ Star Search"? I don't know if they could find one on the East side of the State. :p

Scott would be a good face of BBQ for Michigan especially if he wore the chicken hat.

The comps would get more teams because people would see him and think "Dang, I can at least beat that guy". :eek:

I realize that you have been under alot of extreme pressure lately and are not thinking rationally before posting so I will let that one slide! :), wait a minute, I let the name thing slide. This is your lucky day.

Well.... I still need to find someone. July 2nd is the date for the taping. We had a team from that area cook with us a few years ago.... Was it motley Que Crew....??? Maybe I could talk them into coming back up.. AND doing the pr thing on this program.

John, we are from the Detroit area, Steve,Bruce, and Scott are from Metro Detroit and I am from Flint, we get Fox2 here... And we are coming up for the contest... Plus our Sponsor is from the Detroit area...

That's great news... got the email as well. I will talk to the folks in charge about this tomorrow and get you more information as soon as I can. Hope this will work for everyone. And sorry that i can't remember where everyone is from... First I am old... and second I am a Yopper.... to us.... ya'll just live below the bridge..... LOL Thanks for your help and support.:D
