The Mail

got done WEED wacking a little while ago and realized I hadn't gotten todays mail. In it was a big white envelope from the Michigan Employees Retirement System. All the final papers inside for direct deposit, taxes and which plan I want in regards to beneficiary payments upon my death.
Kind of took the little bit of excitement out of the whole ordeal. Hell, I'm only 52 and have to figure out about stuff when I die.
Just been sitting here looking outside and couldnt help but wonder how much longer do we really have. I know theres no sense worrying about it but...
We really take a good amount of jabs at eachother but I'm really looking forward to this summer with Mike, Bubba and Bruce. Gonna make the best of it and have some fun.
Not gonna go looking for any other job right away, I've got some feelers out there but I plan on getting some stuff done around the house, taking it easy and have a good time on our RSS BBQ Tour-Summer of '10. (we need T-shirts with that!)
Its just a really odd feeling filling out papers about stuff for when you are dead.

Scott, I just retired a month ago with Mers and still ahve not caught up with chores around the house. I'm a lot more busy now then when I went to work. I'll tell ya this retirement is great..................I'm only 62 and have a long ways to go yet............

Just had the local newspaper reporter leave my office, they are doing a story on my retirement, got some good info to her about the GLBBQA and how I am going to spend some retirement time honing my BBQ skills. (save the comments)

Actually Rich I wasn't sleeping, I was in deep thought thinking and calculating about BBQ techniques.
Guess I need to think and calculate more. (Figure I'd throw that in there because Bruce would anyways!)
