Ronnie James Dio Passed Away

I know most of you probably dont know who he is, but for those of you that know me and my musical tastes you will know that I was a big fan. Ronnie was a singer for several Heavy Metal bands and grew to popularity in the early 80's as the replacement singer for Black Sabbath after Ozzy Osbourne left the band. He also went on to have a very successful solo career.

i had a cassette tape of his back in my 1st round of college in 1984. was not really my "kind" of music, but it had its place in my 1972 nova... college lab partner was a really big fan tho.

I hear ya Bubba, Dio is only 1 year younger than my dad... Needless to say, my dad was not the Heavy Metal kind of guy!!!

I agree, the 60's and 70's had some great Rock, but overall the 80's Rocked!!
