No bark pork butt?

Man I'm so stupid today, I've I forgot to add my stupid dry rub to the pork shoulder after I got ready........


I wonder how crappy it will taste? Or is it savable?

Is it already on the cooker? If so, for how long? Shouldn't be a problem, just take it out and add some rub. It has to cook for a long time it will be OK and who knows you may have discovered a new method for cooking pork butt.

derek, if it were me, i would just add it now. should still make a bark or crust without it -but it will be an unseasoned bark. you can re season as you shred and mix it right in the meat also. if your just practicing, dont even worry about it.

Any hoo I will add the rub to the bbq sauce and mix like you said to do.
