after 12+yrs of service i had to retire the weber kettle and get another. donated the old one to our camp group to use if needed on a friends property so i can visit it when we camp there. purchased a shiny new blue color weber performer. no more newspaper and chimney starting mess! maiden voyage will be tonight or tomorrow night, cook something up whilst packing for eagle.

pulled the lang out saturday and greased the wheel bearings adjusted a few items, checked all the lights, tossed on some new paint and its ready for the 2010 cooking / competition season.

maiden voyage was a brined pk chop, and quatered and grilled napa cabbage with a home made spicy vinigarette... damn good. new grill is so clean and new i feel like i should be in a suit sipping wine when cooking now.
