So which recipe was the winner? Scott should be worried.

Umm, the guy wasted a perfectly good beer in a marinade and stands around staring at a chimney starter.
Well there goes my cranberry idea.
Now anything can happen so I'm not saying a word. :) :)

ScottHi Scott,
LOL, I drank the rest of the beer though so it didn't go to waste.
Let's upgrade the bet and say the loser will wear a pink tootoo if he loses? Hows that sound?

Derek,
I learned a long time ago not to bet at all when it comes to cooking BBQ, you can cook your best stuff ever but rely on the individual judges of the individual area you are in to decide if they like it. You can win one weekend, cook the exact same the next and tank dead last.
Take the event for what it is, a practice cook to get your timing and procedures down, after that just enjoy the company.

ScottHi Scott, I can't remember who've made the bet with me but I was hoping he would chime in here. And yes Scott, I totally agree with you but it's going to be fun though.
By the way When I do practice comps, comps of anything I put my heart & soul in them and not do them half baked, You know what I'm saying? And I hope you don't find me a jerk for saying that and I hope I still can meet you and many others.
