Hi all, just joined up last week and wanted to introduce myself. Me (and one of my friends) are attending and cooking at the Eagle cook-off (We work for the same food service company, I do I.T., he's the head chef, and the owners said they would pay our entry fee.. cool!). Looking forward to it. This will be the first time I've ever been to, let alone, competed in a BBQ event. I'm excited. Looking forward to meeting a lot of you folks in person. As far as my BBQ background, pretty much just a backyard cooker who got the bug after I bought my first decent smoker back in 2005. I still have it (Wally-world GOSM gasser). I've since graduated to a UDS, with plans to build a reverse flow trailer unit this summer (I really want a stick burner). I started out way back in 98 with a completely worthless Charbroil H2O charcoal smoker. What a POS, it almost made me give up on ever smoking *anything*. Thankfully a neighbor got me back into it after I tasted the food that was coming off of his gas unit. Anyway... I tend to ramble on... so I'll shut up now. :)

No, I don't think he is, but I have a feeling he will be by the end of the weekend.
