12 Amateur Backyard Teams
10 Made in Michigan Product Vendors

Do you like to Cook, Watch and Eat Bar-B-Que? Then you need to attend the 1st Annual South Macomb County BBQ Cook Off Contest & Made In Michigan Festival & Car Show. Bring your folding camp chair, suntan lotion and stay all day lots to see, eat and enjoy. On Saturday July 17, 2010 come out and cheer on your favorite "Pit-Master" in the Restaurant & Backyard Categories. Cooking starts at 7am, Judging at 5pm, Awards at 6:30pm for the title of "Best BBQ Ribs & Chicken" in South Macomb County. The event is "Free" to attend and "Free" to watch, if you would like to join in the cookoff contest there is a $250.00 entry fee for the "Professional Restaurant Category" with a $500.00 1st place cash prise, $250.00 for 2nd. It's only $100.00 to enter into the "Amateur Backyard Category" for a 1st place cash prize of $200.00 and $100.00 for 2nd. Local vendors will be on hand with products made right here in our home state of Michigan, come and support your local economy. Do you offer "Made in Michigan" Products? I call that "house math" where the organizer figures they are going to take most all the money for the house...I agree, it will be tough to get participants with the low payouts...
