REAL heavy is no joke. Mine is 20 x 42 with 1/4 inch steel cooking chamber and 1/2 inch steel firebox and it weighs around 1100 lbs. That one looks a little longer and has a cabinet attached. You better bring Geoff with ya!

That is a nice pit! Looks like someone got it that doesn't know anything about it. I got $850 for my Lyfetyme 20x40 pit that was 1/4" thick-this Klose has got a lot more capacity. Probably won't get a nicer backyard cooker for ~$1,000...

Haha!! Did they take your offer Rich?? Great deal at $800...Not going to ever lose money on something like that...

I meant that I thought the person selling it didn't know a lot about it-not you!!!

Not a very good business deal to buy something for $4k, not use it, then turn around and sell it for $800...

Rich,
Way to go, once you get it all painted up and shined, do you have a place in the garage to put it? Get a heavy duty cover for it to so it doesn't get dusty.

So you have no excuse not to do the practice cook. Do you need a newbie team member. I have gotten some questions from guys wanting to help. Anyone interested? I'll be more than happy to send them your way. :D

I have been using Majic BBQ Black. 1300 degrees. What are you using? The majic is like $80 per gallon??? Plus shipping which is $35 because the EPA says they can.

If you have a better product I am all ears!

Already in the practice cook...looks like Capt Dan, Crewdawg and SmokinLee will be my teammates.

Hahaha....No Thanks! I have one on my patio that is plenty big enough for me.

Plus my wife would kill me if I brought home another big stick burner. I am selling her now on maybe getting a cabinet cooker like a backwoods or spicewine and slipping in references to a pellet cooker.

Well anyways congrats on the purchase even though it pains me to say so. I just happen to see the thread just before I left for Soaring Eagle. Had a discussion with the wife and she was not totally on board until on our way home and she said call the guy and make an offer. Well we know the rest of the story lol. But I did get 30lbs of pork butt at norms on the way home so it was a bad day after all.
