Charity Event

Hello Everyone,

Some of you may remember me , I hope some do . I see there is a lot more folks here than before , great to see. I am looking to do a Charity event for my local Big Brothers Big Sisters ( in Caro MI) as they are sorely in need of money . So I thought I would see if anyone could help me. I really do not know how to get started as I have never organized something like this. I am looking for people to cook that have the eq to do so . I am gonna try to get some sponsors but may have to front the food up front. All money is going to the BBBS org and event costs. We have a couple of places we could use for the event ,advertising is covered as well. Any suggestions would on how to get started or any pit falls I should watch out . Let me know what you think .

Good to hear from you again, stop in more often!
If your planning to sell to the public the first thing you'll need to do is talk to your local HD. You WILL need some kind of permit for that.
Once you get that straight, how many people you want to feed? What do you have for a menu? Whats your time frame?
Plenty of guys here with cookers willing to help out.
