March: 14 Flushing Chili Cookoff
20th Annual Meeting in Lansing
April: Eagle Cook, date to be determined
June: 18-19 Grand Rapids Grill Off
25-26 Auburn Hills KCBS Sanctioned

July: 9-10 Lowell, KCBS Sanctioned
16-17 Kingsford, KCBS Sanctioned
23-24 Grand Rapids, KCBS Sanctioned

August: 13-14 Michigan Int'l Speedway
20-21 Mt. Morris, KCBS Sanctioned

September: 10-11 Silver Lake, KCBS Sanctioned
17-18 Oscoda Paul Bunyan Festival
17-18 St. Joseph Blues,Brews & BBQ Event
24-25 Sparta, KCBS Sanctioned

Cory from Cory's Cookers is trying to put together a bbq contest in Alpena and is working on a date.

Gratiot Auto Body is working on an event, date TBA.
Have had inquiries from other organizations and will keep the membership posted as they get finalized.

I have tried to get info for the St Joseph event, with no luck, other than last years top 3 teams. Any link or info would be appreciated!:D


Finally an event near me, instead of 3 hrs away!;)

The KCBS Sanctioned events all info can be found at www.kcbs.us
On the non-sanctioned events, if we are involved the information will be here in the Comp Q section or our website. Sometimes we just pass the event dates along...

Keep in mind we are a volunteer organization and most of us have other jobs that take us away from our fun... :D

Other than the Blues/Brews BBQ event that has been in existance for the past 3 yrs, the actual BBQ contest is still in the planning stages, there is no info on it yet. Just trying to help the people out over there and get the word out as we get it.

Bull has advised that he has already reserved Eagle Park for April 23-24 for the fun cook.

I just called and they said the weather is going to be cloudy and the temp between 37 and 60. :cool:

We've had rain, lightning, snow, high winds and sweltering heat.

With sharp, pointy piece of hickory in hand;)

Do you pull everything around by horse and buggy? Lowell, Grand Rapids, and Sparta are all with in a days travel, via donkey and cart, from Kzoo.:D

I know, my team is actually looking into the sparta and lowell events.

I don't think we are gonna do the taste of gr though.
