There are some interesting topics.

Including talk about turning in white and dark meat chicken or requiring the cooks to cook whole chicken.

Talking about changing rule 6 to allow propane gas to be used as a cooking fuel.

If they do that then why not allow electric smokers?

Because that would be cheating.

This is my first year in KCBS, so I am not sure how that BOD meeting goes. Do they normally pass all of the items on that list or is it usually the other way around?

I don't like chicken white meat.

Well the no garnish rule has been on the agenda every year that I can remember and it has never passed, I dont think the propane one will get passed, but you never know any more... I am not in favor of the chicken rule as it is written, I dont have a problem with having to turn in both white and dark meat, but it should be up to the Teams to decide how they want to accomplish that goal...

Ok, then lets allow electric smokers and use pellets in the wood boxes, I mean fair is fair......yes or no?

Allowing pellet poopers and dont straight electric is basicaly a political.....discrimination IMHO.

I say let them all in!! I personally dont care for Pellet Poopers but if they are allowed then anything should be allowed...

Open it up to everybody!
Wood, charcoal, gas or pellets, it's all BBQ when it gets put in the turn-in box. ;)
I think we'd see a huge influx of new teams with this rule change. Could be good for KCBS and the sport itself.

I agree on cooking on what ya own.

I sure couldn't help their reputation by doing this.

I dunno... wood/charcoal keeps a bit of "skill" in the mix. I mean anyone (pardon me wattburners and gassers) can plug in a rig. THAT'S not the intent I don't believe.

And the garnish thing miffs me. I HATE building boxes. Stupid, stupid. STUPID! A couple green leaves, call it good.

As far as whole chicken, whatever. How ya supposed to turn in 6 whole chickens? Or why not just do thighs and a breast if they want some white meat?

Quick Notes are posted on the KCBS Website in 2 parts. Looks like we dont have to worry about Propane or cooking whole chickens...
