Just wanted to ask the users if there is anything that we can do to improve this forum and also bring more posters here ?
I know a lot of us post on other forums, and that is great, I am not looking to stop that, I want to increase our discussions and also grow the active posters.
Please let me know your thoughts.

With all the folks that know Scott Fischer, I wouldn't think this would be a problem.

Good quality posts should raise the amount of active members.
I had never heard of the forums at pickled pig until some one pointed me to one his tutorials on making competition quality food. Maybe some of the more experienced members here could create some tutorials for the backyard cooker to make good ribs, chicken, pork, and brisket.

One more thing I noticed, we need more recipes in the recipe section. The "Rub" section doesn't have any recipes.

Hmm no kiddin'. Well, I'm not ready to give up the Mad Hunky rub recipe, but I'll put a nice, easy and tasty ecipe there.
And yes, tutorial posts are good.
One thing to remember tho- this site is a geographical themed place mainly, and geared to it's membership And up north LOL! Sooo- you have a limited base to draw from.
I'll start posting more of what I do here. They will most likely be repeated at the site I help out at, but I don't see a problem with that, unless you guys do?

Do you want this forum to be made up of GLBBQA members or the general public. I haven't refered many here because I thought it was a site for members.
Speaking of membership, I think my dues are gonna be comming up in the next month or two,do we get something in the mail to sign back up/renew?

Hey Dan, send any one over here. The thought is that if they get a sense of what we are doing here they will want to become a member, so it is a win win for everyone.
In general terms this forum is a benefit of membership to the GLBBQA but we tried the closed forum at the beginning and it was very dead... Now opening up the forum has caused problems of a different kind but I think we are further ahead for opening it up...

Now I am not sure that we are limited by a geography, anyone can join the forum and participate.
I personally would like to see some more interaction on here, even if it is the same folks...
