Got an email from Dave Waun of the Nat'l BBQ for our Troops organization saying their big website added our event and can be viewed at
http://www.bbqforourtroops.com. Just click on the Michigan thingy on the left side.
He also advised that the big event originally scheduled in June at Camp Grayling has been changed to Battle Creek on June 19. There is some info posted on that site about it, they will need some help to serve over 1000 people.

Barb and I volunteer to cook vegetarian BBQ beans for this event. How many gallons am I in for? LOL

I would like to be included if there is a need. I bet Justin would be willing to help again also. I also have many Battle Creek Steelheader members that I am vice president of that would love to contribute if needed, especially the serving and clean-up part!:)

I can be there too......... But hey, I dont even have my schedule for Jan yet. June alittle early.......... but I can try!

I can try to be there if you need me ?
I can cook and hold 500# to 550# of pork butts
we did 500# and had more room left to stack more could take up to 650# if they are bigger

I see that the June 19th cook has been removed from the website. Have e-mailed Dave a couple times in the past, never a responses.????????????

I got an email over the weekend from Dave Waun in Ohio indicating that there is going to be something on June 19 in Battle Creek but I have no specifics. Have sent him a email back and left a message on his phone. Will keep everyone posted.

Barb can not make the event this year. Barb really feels badly about this!

I will still be there! I am willing to do what ever needs doing! Barb really feels badly about this!

I have a friend that has comitted to help!

Tell Barb not to feel bad, she has been volunteering alot of time
to the organization and it is greatly appreciated.
