The events committee will now be accepting recommendations for facilities to hold (2) Senior Q events in October, 2012.
Before submitting your request, please contact the facility, most likely the events coordinator and inform them that we will prepare pulled pork, chicken, beans and slaw.
From the facility, we will need access to the kitchen area and staff to serve the food unless they have a "food line" set up that the clients come up and get their own. The facility would be responsible for dinner ware and drinks.
Preferably, 250 clients or less to feed will help us manage since we do not know how many association volunteers will be available to help.
As far as a date or day, that's kind of a hard one, again because of the availability of volunteers so Fri or Saturday would be my first choice.
You will find out that your contact person most likely will have to present the idea to a board or supervisor and will take some time to get back with you so that's why I am posting this now.
Currently we have (2) suggestions, one in Westland and one in Frankenmuth.
Thanks for the help,
Scott
