I've made a experimental Pizza using left overs.

I love thin crust so I thought I would use Wanton Wrappers, and it worked. The pizza had GOOD flavor. ten munutes in the oven though was a little short. I would do 15 if it's going to be double layer.

Sprayed the pan with Pam. and egg washed the pizza.

Then I used tomato sauce with 1/3 cup of Mahogany Red BBQ Sauce.

Everything tasted good, I would do it again, but I will use shredded cheese when I have the cheese.

No pineapple? :)

Was the crust crispy? I've used tortillas before and they came out very crispy.

Derek,
I thought the same as Ron, was it crispy or would it have been crispier if you cooked it longer? Pretty good idea for a quick pizza fix, but it definitely would need some shredded mozzarella!

I totally agree with everyone, It was just an experiment and it was a way to use left over food where I wouldn't have to let it go to waste.

It was not too shabby. And mom on another forum as she likes to be called said to use Olive oil instead of an egg wash. and I will add mossy cheese next time.

I missed the egg wash. An egg wash is used to get a brown, shiny crust on pastries and baked goods. It serves no purpose in this case except to get the wonton wrappers wet and soggy.

Next time I am just going to use Olive oil.

Can you still sit in the living room at Fricano's in Grand Haven? Been there, done that. Spent many a night at the bar in the Holland locale.:D

I drive about 35 miles one way to my nearest fricano's. for everyone else fricanos is the west sides oldest pizza joint, they serve a thin crust pizza, offer only like 3 or 4 toppings and cut their pies with giant carpet sheers. sprinkled with a herb/spice topping known as "bird seed". Great pie, but I have to give it to Calabrese's Pizza II in Waterford........best pie in Mi.

I love that place. My cousin is getting married this June and it is being catered by Fricanos with an all you can eat pizza bar. Told Brandy since its my family I am going to not eat for a few days so I get my moneys worth. Lol

My vote goes to Tiffany's in Frankenmuth, it is the best pizza I have had anywhere, including Chicago,New York, and even Italy!!

I don't know where the pizza place is in white water, but the pizza there was DAMN DAMN DAMN GOOD, you could tell the tomato sauce was freshly made and not in a can.
