vacation bbq photos

didnt see much bbq on my vacation in middle september, this is as close as i got. paella made over a bed of charcoal. (royal oak's version of matchlite) and i did try some bbq octopi - not real good, a bit chewy and the tentacles were a bit odd on the pallet. took the outer skin off and it was a bit more like squid - which i like.

I got a chance to sample some paella last winter in Cancun, the octopi really was chewy, like a big piece of grissle on a steak.
