Hello from the UP.

[Boss Hog Wild]

This is my first time posting to the Forum. My name is John Bertoldi, and I am president of UP Hog Wild, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 located in Iron Mountain, MI. We raise funds to support children with disabilities, and the UP Camp for Kids with Diabetes. I am on this site because I am the organizer for UP Hog Wild. It is our only fund raising event. We are a KCBS sanctioned State Championship contest. I have a great support group that I work with. We try to share the beauty of the UP in July with our guests, and in turn, share the wonder and fun of competition bbq with the locals. As an organizer the conversation and threads are both helpful and interesting. I am looking forward to many enjoyable conversations in the future.

I appreciate all the kind words. I am gratefull to FatBoyz for making me aware of this forum and the Brethren, and to tonto1117 for pointing me in a northerly direction as well to BBQ Talk Canada.

Wish we would have found these a long time ago. Tomorrow I am off to Winchester to spend time with Linda and her crew. Until later..... may your smoke be sweet....

Would love to meet up some day but from S.E. michigan, i think its closer to drive to Tennessee for a comp. :rolleyes:
Maybe next year we can make it up!
