Posted on the Michigan Sportsman site. Just talked to Bubba, and I know a few of ya are committed to the Senior cook that day (Oct17), but if you happen not to be- Dan could use the help and buddies!

Hey Rich thanks for posting this. I had seen it on another forum but I hadn't been able to find it again. I am sure this will turn out to be a great a event.

Dan's a heck of a good guy. Its really nice to see all of his friends coming together to help him out. I won't be able to make that party but will be there in spirit.

You already know I will be there, I also sent a confirmation to ??stein and also dangerdan. wasn't really sure who to send it to. Also am going to make a couple batches of cookies, figured they would go farther than cinnamon rolls. Unless there is something else needed, let me know. I know there will be alot of work to be done and willing to help in any way.

It would be nice to come down and meet you all but I have to work next weekend. Hopefully, you guys can raise enough dough to help him out.

Be nice to have you "join" us if ya can-

awesome outpouring of effort and love. I am still reeling from the event.

check out the youtube video of the event. I think we had about 125-140 people, cooked up 25 lbs of polish sausage, 3 packers, 2 whole rib eye roasts, 24 chicken halves, 3 huge picnic shoulders,25 burgers and about 40 hotdogs, beans, slaw, 2 types of potatoes, green beans, corn, and 1 1/2 tables of desserts. It was a huge undertaking, and MANY very fine people worked their butts off to make this thing go off perfectly. And Richtee was a huge player in its success. WE had a roast( jokes and comments at my expense) that was halarious, musical entertainment, silent auctions, raffles, the live feed to smoked -meat.com, a cash bar, many tv's with big football games on throughout the event in the bar area. There was over $3,000 dollars raised to help me and my family get through some of the toughest times of our life. The speeches were funny and emotional, the food was as good as it gets, and the company was first rate.

God sure has smiled on me. I am a very very lucky man!;)
