We will be soon unveiling our new rib rub. Technically a season all type of rub but works particullary good on ribs, as you'll soon see in Flushing. :p
Looking for some more taste testers that will use it and maybe write an honest review, well, maybe not to honest so PM me with your address and i'll send out a dozen samples.
We will keep you updated on release to the Great Lakes shelves! ;)

Well I finally got a chance to use the RSS Rib Rub..Tasting the rub from the sample container, it had a slightly salty taste followed by a sweet yet spicy tone..Applied it to the ribs and left sit for about 5 minutes..It developed a nice looking glaze and had the sweet and spicy mixture with less of the salt taste..Put ribs on the uds with some hickory and went with the 3-2-1 method at 245 degrees..I sauced the rack with some honey mustard and left the trimmings with just the rub..I found the trimmings to be a nice blend of seasoning with a touch of sweetness..TASTY..The sauced ribs had a nice balance of flavors..I used a honey mustard sauce so it had a sweet taste, but the flavor of the rub is still noticeable..IMHO it is a good rub with a nice balance of flavors and did my ribs good..Thanks for the sample Bubba..

Chuck,
nice looking ribs, did you try throwing them around on the floor before serving?

I received a big ole bag of goodness from the RSS team and threw it on some loin back ribs today.
I thought the rub was excellent and sent it off to chef Ramsey for some reverse engineering  (I tasted a little nutmeg). I think there was a nice equal balance of sweet vs. heat and had just the right amount of salt. Thanks for letting me sample your rub, and I would happily do it again.

Bubba had sent me a sample a while back. Sorry no pics. I tried it on some ribs, which I screwed up. Was trying several rubs side by side and screwed up the whole process. Had cooked them on the Lang just after I had "steam cleaned" the inside. I had left water trapped in the cooker. Turned all the rubs mushy and watered down. NONE of the rubs came out worth a crap, even my old standby didn't taste right.:o
Last week however I tried some of Bubba's rub on some "tenderized" chicken breast on the grill. I must say that the taste was excellent. Some of the best tasting rub I've had on chicken in a long time. Will have to retry the rib deal again.

I went camping this weekend and used up the rest of my RSS rib rub on some ribs and mushroom and onion fatties. Just as good as the first time.
