Hello folks,
I got my first smoker, a 30" black MES, earlier this spring and have been smoking like a maniac since then. I joined up over at smokingmeatforums.com and have been quite active there, but wanted to also join a group that was more centralized to my area in hopes of meeting fellow Q'ers and experienced pros around SE Michigan. While I'm still just a hobby smoker, someday down the road when I retire I hope to open up a bbq place somewhere and put forth all my accumulated cooking experience to work. Regretfully I missed the BBQ show in Auburn Hills recently, I wasn't paying enough attention to current events.
I live in Waterford, MI. and in addition to my new hobby of smoking, I also enjoy craft micro-beers, fixing and restoring pinball machines, and NHL hockey. Drop a line if you're in the area and have some advice, a rare craft beer or like to play pinball. Of course, gotta bring and talk 'Q as well.
