Brandy tried to book a room at the casino and found out there is a two night restriction for that weekend 3/18 - 3/20.

We ended up booking a room for Saturday night 3/19 at Baymont Inn & Suites. It is about a mile from the casino and has a free shuttle.

I thought the casino was around $150 a night and Baymont was around $100.

Yeah, but they are on the other side of town. If we can get enough people to commit, maybe we can dicker with them for a better rate.

All of the hotels in Mt Pleasant run shuttles to the Casino, plus there is a City Shuttle service that runs.

Go ahead and take the ball on the hotel rooms....

I just sent an email to the Baymont, told them that I am a Wyndham Rewards member and asked what type of rates they could give us.
I'll keep you all posted.

I logged on to Comfort Inn through KCBS and it showed $129 which is the same rate i seen on their website, so I called them and was told they don't accept the KCBS discount. The lady explained to me they are owned buy a leasing company and that not all Comfort Inn's would have the same discounts.

We were going to do that but didn't want to pay the $150 a night with the two night minimum restriction. The Baymont is $100.06 for a single king size bed pre-payment or $117.72 and you can cancel up until 6pm on 3/19.

We didn't do the pre-payment so if you guys can get a block of rooms considerably cheaper I can switch.

Ok, I just called the actual Hotel in Mt Pleasant, they said if we can get 10 rooms they will give us a 10% discount - So a King Bed room would be $98.10. I told her that a few folks have already booked rooms and she said she would include them on the group rate. So can we get 10 rooms ? I am in for 1.

I am also going to try and organize a dinner at The Mountain Town Station Inn, please let me know how many would be interested in that as well, or if you have another suggestion we can work with that... http://www.mountaintown.com/default.aspx

Good Help is hard to find....
