Southern Oakland County Amateur Competition

Is there any interest in an amateur competition in Southern Oakland County? I work for a local parks department and we are contemplating a competitiion but we want to see if there is an interest before we start investing too much time into the planning. This competition wouild be aimed towards the back yard chef that would like to have a competition experience. Any feed back would be appreciated.

Don't know about the cooking but as a CBJ I would certainly be willing to judge if you decide to do the cook and want to have certified judges

I would be interested in trying out this sort of a competition. Logistics and timing would obviously need to work out, but I would plan to enter.

We would welcome experienced judges. When and if we announce the event we will also start putting together a judging list. We are thinking about having 24 teams as a maximum. Ideally we would like one judge for each team. Thanks for your interest and keep an eye on this thread for further info.

Thanks for the input Rock! That's exactly what we are looking for. If I can get enough responses to this thread I can persuade the powers at be to approve this event. Thanks!

This is exactly where we can help you. We have a few tools that makes these things easier for folks. Get in touch with Scott as he heads our Events Committee and he can get you rolling.
