New MI Comp for 2011

The KCBS BOD will be approving new sanctioning requests at their next meeting. One of the new comps listed is the Monroe County Jam & River Raisin Rib-Off with the dates being August 26-27th.

Well it may be, but its on the agenda to be approved as a KCBS sanctioned comp for 2011.

Anybody know anyone that went to there rib burn? It would be nice to know how the organizer managed things last year.

It is pretty cool that Michigan has another event.

Hey, you have to start somewhere. We must be doing something right to bring attention to our BBQ passion that makes others want to jump on the bandwagon. Its a good thing we are doing.
That puts their contest right after Mt. Morris and right before Silver Lake.

And it's location should draw interest from Ohio and Pennsylvania groups too. Heck, I'm all for another comp, especially on the east side.
